Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! Welcome to Kindergarten!!!
This year I want to make sure we develop a relationship that values openness, support and communication. We all have very busy lives, but our children are the future and we must invest in them. Our classroom community is made up of individuals, with their own learning styles, interests, history, hopes and dreams. We will become one group working together to learn and grow throughout this school year.
I'd like for you to know a little about me! I grew up in Pennsylvania, just outside of Pittsburgh... yes, I am a Steelers, Penguins and Pirates fan! I moved to Louisville, KY with my family in 1996 and then to Bardstown area in 2007 to begin teaching. I attended St. Catharine College where I played soccer and then went to WKU to complete my education. I then received my Masters degree through the University of the Cumberlands and recently completed the process to become a National Board Certified teacher. I taught 1st grade for 8 years and this is my 2nd year in Kindergarten. In my spare time I enjoy reading, relaxing and enjoying time outdoors, playing with my son and daughter and spending time with my husband, family and friends.

I am very excited about this school year and spending my days with your child. We will have an exciting year learning about ourselves, how to be a leader and all we need to grow in our education. My hope is to have you as a partner in your child's education.

Please let me know if you have questions or concerns! I love when we are all on the same page! Remember to communicate with me and your child! They are more excited about learning if you are actively involved in their learning!!

Please join us for Kindergarten Kick Off- Open House on Tuesday, July 25th from 5-7. If you would like to bring your school supplies to Open House that would be great! :)
