Ms. Jennifer Newton

Welcome to the Bardstown Early Childhood Center! It’s a great day to be a TIGER! My name is Jennifer

Newton, and I will go by Ms. Jennifer in the classroom. I am very excited to have the opportunity to work

with you and your child this year. I absolutely love working with people. It’s something that I feel very

passionate about and know firsthand the impact one person can have on another person’s life. My

students are a huge part of my world. I’m confident those around me will certainly feel the love that I

have for people, especially my students. I love teaching preschool and all the hands on learning and

exploring that takes place.

It’s my fifth year here at the Bardstown Early Childhood Center. I hold a bachelor’s degree in

Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education from Campbellsville University and at the end of last school

year; I obtained my master’s degree in Teacher Leadership at the University of the Cumberland’s. My

plans from here are to obtain my Rank I once my girls are in college.

I am married to my best friend Eric, and we recently had our second baby girl! We welcomed little miss

Hadlei into the world at the very end of May and our oldest Haley, just turned two. We stay very busy

with our girls but wouldn’t want it any other way. They’re our world and bring so much joy and fun to

our lives!

Mostly, I love to laugh, the game of football, traveling, outdoors, horseback riding, and spending time

with family and friends. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with you and your child. It’s

truly a privilege and I look forward to a fun filled year!

Our classroom assistant is Mrs.Callye Elder. She joins our team with experience teaching little ones in the

gym. Many of you may know her, as she previously taught gymnastics under Mrs. Vicki Smith at

Bardstown Gymnastics for many years. She recently retired from the gym and happily joins us for the

second year here in preschool. Callye is a very important part of our classroom. She helps me to make

sure that, together, we provide the best care for your child. Communication is a vital part of our team.

Please know that communication with Mrs. Callye is just as important with her as it is with me.

Open House will be Tuesday, July, 31. Please bring 2 photos with you. A simple 4x6 will work. I need

one picture of your child by him/herself to use for their cubby and a separate family picture to hang up in

our classroom. Please put your child’s name on the back of each photo. I will be keeping these pictures

here at school for your child so please don’t send anything you will need back. Thanks!

Communicating with parents and caregivers is always a priority. If you ever have any questions or

concerns, please feel free to e-mail me at:
