School Record Broken in Pi Day Competition
Each year on Pi Day middle school math teacher Craig Frey conducts a friendly competition among his students to see who can recite the most digits of Pi.  If you aren't familiar with Pi Day, it is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π (pi). Pi Day is observed on March 14 (3/14) since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant digits of π.

This year, a Bardstown Middle School record was broken by 6th grade student Nick Young who correctly recited 303 digits of Pi!  Nick broke the 2013 record set by Miki Soma.  Congratulations Nick!  Job well done!
