Y-Club – will be hosting a Christmas movie night after school on December 18th. The cost is $5.00 and that will include 2 movies, popcorn and a drink. Tickets will be on sale until Friday, December 15th.

On Saturday, December 2nd, The BHS Speech Team traveled to the Boone County High School Blizzard Blowout.  We are quite proud of what our students accomplished!  Samuel Blevens received 7th place in both of his categories-Humorous Interpretation Duo Interpretation with his partner Trey Crouch.  Addison Haynes received 6th place in Declamation. Sara Luckett received 5th place in Prose Interpretation and 6th place in Original Oratory.  Gabriella Abell received 2nd place in Program of Oral Interpretation.  Overall, team received 7th place in Sweepstakes Points.  Go BHS Speech!

NHS – will be offering peer tutoring for students who need help from 8:00 – 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday mornings on any subject in Ms. Aherns room.

Juniors – Balfour will be here with your rings on tomorrow, Wednesday, December 6th in the morning before school beginning @ 7:30 a.m.   Full payment must be received fore you can pick up your ring.  No personal checks are accepted.  Your parents can call the Balfour office to process a credit card payment or they will accept cash or money order the day the rings are delivered.  If paying by credit card, payment must be received by Monday, December 3rd

Pep club is selling winter shirts.  These will be on sport grey long sleeve shirts, which are $15.00, and sport grey crewneck sweatshirts, which are $20.00.  If you would like one please let Ms. Dalton know.  We will only be ordering for those that pre-order.  Orders are due Friday, December 8th.

BHS Leadership Dynamics Class is collecting coloring books for the preschool and primary school students.  All donations will be due Tuesday, December 12th by the end of the school day.  Please bring in coloring books and crayons. (sets please)

Picture retakes will be December 7th.

American Legion Post is collecting nonperishable food items (can or package) to donate to families of our veterans and some of the less fortunate of our community.   Please bring your non-perishable food items to school thru Monday, December 14th.  Food collection barrel is in the office.

Y-Club – Food drive for Christmas baskets.  Please bring nonperishable items – canned goods, mac & cheese, etc.  Can be placed in the box in front office.


Bardstown Optimist Club is sponsoring an essay contest and a speech contest.  The topic is “Can Society Function without Respect?”  Entries are due Monday, January 8th to Ms. Case in guidance.  Cash prizes are awarded for winning essays on the local and district level.  District winners can win $2500.  Details in guidance.
