Our Colorful World
Children have a natural ability to understand their world around them, and learning about colors is something we do here in preschool to enhance this natural phenomena. The ability to identify colors is considered a marker and milestone in a child’s cognitive process. Recognizing the colors and identifying the color names is an important part of a child’s development. Early identification of colors helps to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words. Literature is a great way to help children learn these colors concepts. The book” Brown Bear Brown Bear what do you see” is a fun way we learn about our colors here at BEC!
