Bardstown City Schools will once again be a location for the national Summer Nutrition Program. From June 6 – July 21 (closed July 4) all children through the age of 18 may eat a nutritious meal free of charge.
Meals will be served in the Bardstown Middle School cafeteria at 410 North Fifth Street. A sign will mark the cafeteria entrance. Breakfast will be offered from 8:00 – 9:00 am, while lunch will be served from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm.
This program is made available through the United States Department of Agriculture to assure that all kids have access to a nutritious meal when school is not in session.
"We are happy to once again provide this service to the Bardstown community," said Greta Cecil, school nutrition director. "We hope many families will take advantage of this opportunity to have great, nutritious meals throughout the summer," she said.
