Since its creation, the Bardstown Foundation for Excellence in Public Education has been making teachers’ dreams come true by funding grants to BCS teachers who submit proposals for innovative classroom projects.
New Grant Opportunities for the 2019-2020 school year 
We're proud to announce we have some exciting new changes to our grant application process! Starting in the 2019-2020 school year we'll be offering two categories of grants.
  1. Mini-Grants: At the beginning of each school year, teachers will continue to have the opportunity to apply for a mini-grant to implement programs or projects with students in their classroom. This year, the mini-grant amount will increase from $700 to $1,000. To apply teachers must complete our electronic mini-grant application by Wednesday, September 11, 2019.

  2. Dream Big Grants: For teachers and staff members that have an innovative educational initiative for students beyond their classroom walls we’re launching our Dream Big Grants. Dream Big Grants will be awarded for up to $10,000. To apply for a Dream Big Grant the innovative idea must impact as many students as possible and involve 2-5 teachers/staff members working together. To apply teacher(s)/staff member(s) will be required to complete our short online form by Monday, December 2 and present their idea to the Board of Directors at a spring board meeting
